The Thimble Press is a small, independent publisher dedicated to children's literature criticism.
The Press was established by Nancy and Aidan Chambers in 1969 in order to publish the journal Signal Approaches to Children’s Books. Since then, The Thimble Press have published not only Signal but many critically acclaimed books of children's literature criticism.
