This list does not claim to be comprehensive. It includes titles not specifically mentioned in the essay. The date of publication is given for those books not published in 2001 but included here because they were overlooked at the time of their original publication or became available in the UK in 2001. The addresses of distributors mentioned more than once are given at the end. For books not distributed in the UK I have given as much information as possible to assist in their acquisition.
